Station 54 was dispatched to a automatic fire alarm at the Nazareth Intermediate school. First unit on scene reported smoke in the buildings. Chief Fassl 5451 took command and upgraded the first alarm from a fire alarm to a commercial structure fire. The upgraded first alarm added station 50 and 53. Command also had the second alarm put on standby consisting of station 25,36 and 52. Crews made a quick hit to the fire in the kitchen which was an ice machine extending to the walls and ceiling. The school contained heavy smoke throughout the school and two large trailer ventilation fans from station 53 and Northampton county was used to ventilate the school. Crews were on scene for about 2 1/2 hours.
