Fire 52 was dispatched to a report of a chimney fire in the 500 block of Hahn road Thursday night at 23:56hrs. Chief Stahl(5250) arrived on scene reporting smoke showing fire in the attic adding station 54 to call. 54-12 54-13 and 54-31 made the response to assist with various on scene operations. A quick response and great teamwork held the fire to the immediate area around the chimney. The fire was under control rather quick but a stubborn area in the chimney continued to smolder for hours. The crew cleared the scene around 5am without incident.
