On Sunday June 2nd, East Lawn Social Club hosted the second annual "Home for the Troops motorcycle ride." For each motorcycle it was a $25 dollar fee, and all the money raised went to a veteran that became disabled and didn't have a house to live in when that person came back. This year, the veteran that got chosen lost his arm, and a leg. With the medical technology that we have today, doctors were able to re-attach his arm back on, and to this day, he is able to use it. The bike ride started at Upper Nazareth fire company, went about aprox. 60 miles, and ended at Bushkill Township fire house, where there was refreshments, a tricky tray, and a live band. It was a great day and very successful event.
