| Why did you join the fire department? |
I joined the fire department because I wanted to make a meaningful impact in my community by helping in some way with the our local First Responders. I’ve always had respect for first responders, and becoming a part of the community felt like a natural extension of my values: commitment, courage, and compassion. I enjoy the camaraderie of the volunteers, try to do my part in helping with documenting our calls with video / photo, and helping with whatever else I can do. |

| What do you like best about being part of the fire department? |
The best part of the firehouse is the camaraderie between the volunteers. It’s a brotherhood and sisterhood built on trust, shared purpose, and a deep understanding of what really matters in life. Everyone sees the bigger picture—putting themselves in harm’s way without hesitation to protect others. Whether it’s saving lives, preserving property, or simply being there for the community, these volunteers embody what it means to serve. Being surrounded by people with that kind of heart and commitment is what makes the firehouse truly special. |
