| 10/30/13 MVA With Injuries.
Upper Nazareth Fire/Rescue along with Nazareth Paramedics was dispatched to a single vehicle accident on Penn Allen Rd. at the bridge just prior of the intersection with Daniels Rd. On arrival crews discovered a single car head-on into a guard rail hanging over the edge of the bridge. Crews quickly secured the vehicle with chains and winch from Rescue/Engine 5412 using a two point restraint system. Little fluids were leaking into the creek and crews quickly used diking material to capture the fluids with no environmental concerns. The patient was transported to a local hospital and Penn Dot and EPA notified. Units cleared after 2 ½ hours. |
